How can I help?

Those are some of my favorite words when I work with someone who needs music for an important event—whether it’s a wedding, a funeral, or another special occasion. Choosing the right music can feel overwhelming, as you create a soundtrack for a moment that is so important. With years of expertise in planning music, I can help ease that stress and provide music that not only meets your needs but touches hearts and elevates the experience.

FAQ

  • I hold a masters degree in piano performance and a masters degree in education. I  have been performing professionally in Chicago for over 40 years. My work has taken me to the concert stage at Symphony Center, Convention Centers, churches of all denominations, hotels, ballrooms, and private homes.

  • I am comfortable playing most styles of music. That said, certain styles work better for solo piano than others, or may require additional instruments or vocals. A consultation is an important step to ensure we match the music to the mood of your event.

  • You can hear me play on Spotify and Apple iTunes. There are also audio clips on my website. Check out my calendar and see where I am performing.

  • Absolutely. If the selection is appropriate for solo piano—or for the ensemble you’ve booked—I will learn and perform it with the highest level of preparation and artistry.

  • In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will communicate with you immediately, provide a trusted colleague as a substitute performer or, if preferred, issue a full refund (minus the deposit).

  • I use the piano provided at your venue. If I need to supply an instrument, additional cartage fees will apply.

  • For venue pianos, I ask that the instrument be in tune and fully functional (pedals working, no sticking or silent keys). If I bring my own instrument, I will require access to power and sufficient setup space and adequate parking for unloading and loading.

  • Yes. A deposit is required once we reach an agreement. Deposits are refundable up to one month prior to the event date.

  • Yes. As a published composer and arranger, I create custom arrangements for ensembles or voices. I can also prepare a professionally formatted event program for your printer.

Intense. Obsessed. Passionate. Determined. Exceptional.

These words don’t just describe music—they describe how I live it. Think about your favorite song, your favorite musician, the best concert you’ve ever experienced—chances are, one of those words fits that memory.

That same energy is what I bring to every performance. Whether playing solo piano works by beloved composers or collaborating with fellow musicians, my drive for excellence and heartfelt expression shapes everything I do.

As a newcomer to the Iowa music scene, my greatest joy is connecting with people through music—serving others with sound that speaks to the heart and soul.
